Our experience at ACE CLC Berlin 2025 – A Milestone for Arun and Decadis
We recently had the pleasure of participating in the ACE CLC (Community+Customer Led Conference) event in Berlin on 15 May 2025—and it was extra special for one of our team members, Arun Paudyal, Product Owner at Decadis.
This was Arun’s first ACE event and also his first-ever visit to Berlin, making the experience even more memorable. Despite a rocky start with train delays on the arrival day, Arun made the most of it by reconnecting with some of his university friends—a refreshing reunion before the big day.

A day of connection, insight, and inspiration
The event took place at the GLS Campus in Berlin, a vibrant venue filled with both familiar and new faces. It was a delight to reconnect with many from previous events and equally exciting to meet fresh faces from across the ecosystem.
The day kicked off with an engaging panel discussion featuring insights from the recent Team '25 event in Anaheim, California. We also enjoyed presentations from inspiring folks at Flix, Trivago, Oboard, TNG Technology Consulting, Atlassian, and Aptis. In between, the attendees were treated to delicious snacks and drinks—fueling both conversation and curiosity.
The penultimate session, led by Surbhi Sharma from Atlassian, offered a compelling glimpse into the future of Atlassian’s roadmap and strategy. As anticipated, AI emerged as the central theme, sparking widespread interest and discussion among participants.

Decadis takes the stage
We were proud to see Arun take the stage on behalf of Decadis. His session focused on the journey of Scrum Masters, highlighting the common pain points they face and how our app, sumUp, helps address those—without the need to export Jira data.
He shared six practical use cases, together with a live demo, walking the audience through the refreshed sumUp UI and showing just how flexible and easy the app is to configure for different business needs. The response from the audience was fantastic—Arun had great engagement during the Q&A, and even had a few attendees approach him afterward for further conversations and questions.

Wrapping up with good vibes and great connections
As the formal sessions wrapped up, the hall transitioned into an inviting afterparty and networking space – arguably one of the best parts of any community event. It was the perfect opportunity to connect, share stories, learn about other apps and companies in a relaxed atmosphere. The selection of food and drinks was exceptional, making the evening even more enjoyable.
We at Decadis are grateful to have been a part of such a vibrant event. For Arun, it was a memorable debut ACE experience—and Berlin certainly left a great first impression.
A huge thank you to the organizers—Astrid, Fredi, Hubert, Kathryn, and team—for putting together such a fantastic event. We’re already looking forward to future ACE gatherings and reconnecting with the community once again.
